Let the light within each and every one of us shine bright in the new year ahead!
We leave for Jackson, WY early tomorrow morning. I can’t wait to play in the snow! I’m leaving my computer in California and going to completely unwind. This is how I plan to spend my week…
– Sitting around the fireplace with my beautiful family every night
– Hitting the slopes with my new skis and my big brother
– A relaxing spa day with my mom, sister in law, my best friend, my other sister in law (married to my brother’s best friend…who also happens to be my best friend’s older brother) and my best friend’s mom
– Cooking and sipping wine with my mom in the kitchen
– Enjoying every minute I have to spend my with best friend, my soul mate
– Yoga on the mountain
– Snuggling up to Greg to stay warm in the cold
– And celebrating my mom’s birthday
Happy Christmas and holidays to all!
May your days be filled with peace, love and joy.

A little something to jingle your holiday spirit. Turn up your volume and enjoy! This is a real home in Pleasant Grove, Utah, covered in 50,000 lights controlled by 180 synchronized computer channels – such amazing artistry! Happy happy holidays!
I snapped this photo the other day while playing on the top of Mt. Tam. Often on a foggy day in Mill Valley, we can drive to the top of the mountain to find sunny blue skies. It’s a beautiful feeling, rising above the clouds! I am so lucky and so very grateful to have this stunning landscape in our big backyard. The fog rolling up and over the green hills still leaves me speechless. Thank you beautiful earth.
I love the snow. There is a special stillness that it brings. It falls quietly and invites us to slow down, or if we’re lucky, to stop, breathe and maybe even strike a pose…

I just finished baking these homemade dog biscuits – they came out so cute! The recipe was passed down to me by my mom. Ranger is going to love them! All of his doggy buddies will too – we’re going to share with our neighbors and friends for Christmas.
Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Dog Treats
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
3/4 cup milk
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
Whisk the flour, wheat germ and brown sugar together in a bowl
Beat the peanut butter and milk in a separate bowl until they are combined.
Gradually add in the dry mixture to the peanut butter mix until blended
Turn the dough onto a floured board and knead lightly
Roll out until 1/4″ think and cut into shapes
Bake for 12 – 15 minutes or until golden brown.
These store well if they are wrapped securely for 2 or 3 days. They also freeze well in ziploc bags.
I love this song so much. And what a beautiful slideshow to accompany it! Happy Winter and happy holidays to all!
