Happy August! I’m excited to be returning to you all after a perfect road trip, yoga-filled days at Wanderlust and a much needed internet vacation! My love and I have been traveling to Wyoming at least once a year for the past 5 years and the magic just never fades. And every time we return, we find another reason to fall in love with the beautiful Wyoming landscape and each other. Thank you Mother Earth! Here’s a few of my favorite pics…
And of course, little Ranger in the fields of wildflowers!
Ranger and I often hike up to this hidden gem in our great back yard on Mt. Tamalpais and I finally have some pictures to share! Known as Sitting Bull Plaque, these beautiful words are found on a boulder that rests in a rare and small clearing on a steep, narrow and heavily vegetated trail. It is one of the most peaceful hideaways I’ve found on the mountain and Sitting Bull’s words always evoke great emotion and reflection within my own soul. What a beautiful reminder to treat each other and our mother earth with love and kindness, to possess less and to give more, and to remember just how fortunate we are to live on this land.
And the view is just perfect! Have a beautiful and thoughtful week ahead.
. . . and let your beautiful mind take you here, to this perfect place.

Happy Earth Day! Thank you beautiful earth for all that you do for us. Along time ago, William Shakespeare wrote, “The earth has music for those who listen.” Today, and always, listen.

Earth day is this Friday so for anyone out there who doesn’t already honor our beautiful earth, this is the week to do so! I’ve just stumbled across the Nature Conservatory’s Picnic for the Planet campaign and I love it. The concept is pretty simple – let’s celebrate the planet we live on, the food it provides and the people we share it with. Every day the planet does a lot for us so the least we can do is take our planet out to lunch!
So on and around Earth Day 2011 (April 22), people all around the world are encouraged to step outside and congregate at their favorite outdoor spot to enjoy good food and good people. You can join a picnic that has already been planned or you can grab some friends and plan your own. It’s easy to do using the campaign website. There’s even recipes from chefs from around the world who want to help make your picnic more memorable. I hope you’ll consider joining in on the fun!
Happy April and Happy Friday my loves! It feels like I should be saying Happy Summer today, as we’ve been blessed with beautiful Summer-like weather here in SF this past week. I’ve been trying to get out and enjoy the sunshine as much as possible this week, which has meant daily early morning beach sessions with Ranger. This morning he found this beautiful baby starfish – isn’t it so sweet! I’m hoping the sun keeps on shining this weekend so that we can stay outside and find some more lovely treasures. Have a beautiful Saturday and Sunday everyone!
